PATRONS' PRIZE 2025: PRESENTATION OF THE AWARD SATURDAY 15 MARCH TO PRESIDENT MATTARELLA AND FORMER PRESIDENT PAHOR

In October 2021 they were in Gorizia and Nova Gorizia for the celebration of the joint designation of the two cities as European Capital of Culture 2025. Now they will be together again, to receive the 25th Ss. Ilario e Taziano - City of Gorizia Prize: the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella and the former President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor will receive the award on Saturday 15 March at 11.30 a.m. at the Verdi Theatre.

The ceremony will be preceded by a solemn celebration presided over by the archbishop of Gorizia, Monsignor Carlo Roberto Maria Redaelli, in the cathedral at 9.30 am. The handover will be accompanied by a performance by the children of the Locchi and Trinko schools, who will sing hymns.

As places in the Verdi Theatre are limited, citizens who are interested in participating in the award ceremony can make a reservation by calling 0481 383491 from Tuesday 4 to Thursday 6 March from 10 a.m. to noon, following the instructions that will be provided. It will be necessary to collect an accreditation to be presented on the day of the award ceremony, with access to the Auditorium only between 9.30 am and 10.30 am. Each person will be allowed to reserve a maximum of two places.
