The Staroverci tradition dates back to ancient times, possibly before the arrival of the Slavs, passing down myths and knowledge about the world. Pavel Medvešček documented it in his book Iz nevidne strani neba (From the Invisible Side of the Sky, 2007), published 42 years later to honour a promise tied to a rare lunar phenomenon.
