The Playground – My Border can be a Balloon and Syum-Ballo

 Creative workshops and board games for children and a presentation of a participatory artwork.

On Monday, 5 May 2025, the EPIC District will host an official programme event from the The Playgound project and Syum-Ballo event.

As part of the official "The Playground" programme, the event will offer a diverse and imaginative experience for the youngest visitors. In the morning, pupils from the first triad of primary school will work with their mentors to prepare a special surprise for their parents – stunning sculptures made from approximately 1,000 eco-latex balloons.

The afternoon programme will feature a DJ performance, supported by the innovative xMobil – a solar-powered artistic research module. The highlight of the day will be the symbolic dissolution of the "balloon border" – a collective release of balloons carrying messages from children and parents, floating into the sky as a sign of connection and boundlessness.

Syum-Ballo is a presentation of a participatory artwork of three matching parts that remind us of the times when we were brothers and sisters. The project was created by the youth from Ad Formandum, the San Luigi Association and the Ajdovščina People's University.​
