The Prečkanja - Sconfinamenti festival is the result of a cross-border cooperation between Glasbena matica Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Imago Sloveniae - Podoba Slovenije Foundation and the renowned piano virtuoso Alexander Gadjiev, who, as the initiator of the project, is also its programme director.

The festival programme is based on world-class classical music concerts, with a focus on young ‘stars in the making’ from all over the world, artist residencies and masterclasses conducted by first-class pedagogues. The first edition of the festival will take place between 24 July and 4 August 2024, at various locations between the Gorizia region and Ljubljana. The events will be free of charge for visitors.
