Visavì dance festival

VISAVÌ Gorizia Dance Festival is the first cross-border contemporary dance festival between Gorizia and Nova Gorica. It promotes dialogue, culture and sustainability with an innovative and international programme.

The Visavì Gorizia Dance Festival is the first international cross-border festival of contemporary dance, organised by Artisti Associati in collaboration with the municipalities of Gorizia, Cormons, and Gradisca d'Isonzo, and with the Slovene National Theatre of Nova Gorica. Supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the CaRiGo Foundation and numerous public and private partners, the festival enhances the cross-border dimension, promoting cultural dialogue between Italy, Slovenia and Croatia through the Pan Adria network.

Born in 2020, the festival has progressively established itself on a national and international level, contributing to the European Capital of Culture 2025 project, which unites Nova Gorica and Gorizia in a common vision of cultural growth.

• Promoting the territory, expanding the audience with inclusive initiatives and affordable prices;
• Foster sustainability and well-being through visionary groups and ecological practices;
• Strengthen cross-border links with cultural institutions.

The name Visavì (from the French vis-à-vis), rooted in the Gorizia lexicon, symbolises closeness, dialogue and exchange, values that the festival intends to promote through the universal language of dance.
