Gorizia will host an exhibition about Andy Warhol

Another important exhibition was announced in the past few days as part of GO! 2025, the series of events promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region on the occasion of Nova Gorica - Gorizia European Capital of Culture.

From 20 December 2024 to 4 May 2025 Palazzo Attems Petzenstein in Gorizia will host the major exhibition ‘Andy Warhol. Beyond Borders'. The project highlights the career of one of the greatest protagonists of Pop Art, taking the public to the heart of the cultural and artistic revolution that Warhol was able to embody.

With 180 works, the exhibition traces the artistic career and life of the great American artist, as well as the founding themes of his aesthetic. The iconic Campbell's Soup, Flowers and Marilyn series, along with portraits of celebrities such as Jackie Kennedy, Mohammed Ali, Grace Kelly and even Superman and Mickey Mouse, show how the artist was able to transform mass culture into timeless icons. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore two multimedia installations.

Andy Warhol. Beyond Borders is an immersive journey, designed to offer each visitor a visually and emotionally compelling experience that transcends the boundaries of time and culture, and invites them to explore the world with the same curiosity and openness that characterised Warhol himself.
