Poštni in telegrafski muzej Mitteleurope

Muzej se nahaja v zgodovinski poštni palači v Trstu in priča o razvoju poštnih storitev od sredine 19. stoletja do danes.

The Postal and Telegraphical museum of Trieste, located in the historical Palazzo delle Poste (Post Office building) in Trieste, witnesses the evolution of postal services from mid-19th century to present times.

The exhibition is subdivided into various sections: the post, with relics and documents from Austrian times to modern ages; the telegraphy, with telegraphic machinery and equipment of different ages and types; the postal cartography, with historical maps of the postal routes; the military post, with the complete equipment for a camp post office. An octagonal structure hosts the reconstruction of a late 19th century post office.

Lastly, worthy of mention are the collections of postal history and philatelics, which periodically alternate.
