The Valentino Butussi winery is located in Corno di Rosazzo, within the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC region, in a charming valley known as Prà di Corte, meaning “the meadows of the court.”
Founded in 1910, the winery bears the name of its founder.
Today, the business is passionately run by Filippo, Tobia, and Matia Butussi.
The winery’s management is modern in approach, yet grounded in deep respect for and attention to the principles of tradition.
The guiding principle is that the pursuit of quality depends above all on the health of the vineyard and the natural environment in which it is situated.
Based on this understanding, a project to transition to organic farming was launched some time ago. Starting with a small vineyard of 3,000 meters in 2002, it gradually led to the estate’s complete conversion in 2008 and the attainment of organic certification in 2013.
The first bottles bearing the Butussi label date back to 1973.
With the 2022 harvest, the estate celebrated its 50th bottled harvest.
The Butussi family also operates a 12-room agritourism property, Villa Butussi, where guests can stay surrounded by vineyards and dine in the restaurant located within the historic cellars of Villa Butussi, which serves traditional local dishes.
