SPF call: 116 projects have passed the administrative checks

A total of 116 projects which were submitted to the second Small project fund call have passed the first stage, i.e. the administrative checks, and will now be examined from a qualitative point of view.

The second SPF call closed on 14 May. 134 project proposals were received, of which more than 80 had two project partners. The the lead partners was almost equally distributed between Italian and Slovenian partners. From the closing of the call onwards, the compliance with the administrative requirements of the call was checked by EGTC GO personnel. As a result, 116 projects were found to be compliant, while 18 did not pass the check. Among the most common reasons for rejection were the total or partial absence of the compulsory annexes, the exceeding of the project's financial size or duration with respect to the eligible one, or a partnership of three or more partners, when only one lead partner and one project partner are allowed.

In the coming months, the project proposals will be assessed qualitatively according to the indicators listed in the call for proposals. A project ranking list will then be drawn up, from which the proposals that will be financed will emerge.

The second call for the Small Projects Fund - Small Projects Fund GO! 2025, which is funded by the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Program, aims at preparing the cross-border area for the European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica-Gorizia 2025. The total amount available is 1.5 million euros (1,455,674.50 euros to be precise), the single projects can receive between 30,000 and 150,000 euros and must have a maximum duration of 18 months. The themes of the call were active inclusion and participation of children and youth (under 30), green mobility, social and environmental sustainability, enhancing and strengthening the culture of multilingualism and the promotion of well-being and social cohesion in sports and physical activity that must be accessible to all.
