Beyond barriers: symphonies of inclusion

Beyond barriers: symphonies of inclusion

Art without Borders is a journey into inclusion, an invitation to overcome barriers, break down limits and boundaries. It does so through a universal language, capable of uniting and involving everyone: art. Art without Borders is a festival with music evenings, inclusive music and dance workshops, painting and this year we have added ‘living books’.

People who tell their stories to readers, turning them into listeners and involving them closely so as to break down prejudices, turn them into opportunities for growth and learn not to judge. The evening of 24 February is the event that closes this journey, summing up the festival in a single show, conceived and directed by director Serena Finatti. On stage, four true, emotional stories of people who have come to terms with their limits and have decided to share their most intimate emotions with the public, so that everyone can be enriched by this theatrical experience.

Two of the stories will be confided to the audience by the real protagonists, the other two will be interpreted by actor Yanik Puntin and by the director, singer-songwriter and actress Serena Finatti herself. The audience will take a journey through the emotions and feelings of real lives.

Making the journey magical and even more intense will be the intersection of music and dance as if weaving a canvas on which shapes, matter and colour will imprint memories. The Farra Chitarre Ensemble directed by maestro Mauro Pestel will range from the music of Vivaldi to modern pieces such as Nicola Piovani's ‘La vita è bella’; the voice and piano duo Flavia Quass and Massimiliano D'Osualdo will perform pieces of great emotional intensity such as Antonella Ruggiero's ‘Canzone tra le guerre’; the extraordinary and multiple award-winning Latin American and standard dances duo Stefan Chiari and Neža Colja, whose many prizes include seven victories at the National Championships, and twice placements as finalists at the Rising Stars World Cup, will have the task of weaving La Tela.

At the end of the evening, the painter Raffaella Tomasini will show a canvas on which, inspired by the emotions and colours perceived during the show, she will have painted a unique work, created before the eyes of all the participants in the event.

This is to emphasise how much each of us can, in harmony with others, create something unique that will remain in time and in the memory of those who want to grasp it.
