Border Avant-gardes: Great aristic currents and regional painters Edited by: Franco Morellato in Roberta Manià The world's great artistic currents had personal resonances in the painters of our region who were inspired by them or had influenced them with some of their particularly brilliant works.

If it is not always possible to catch a precise glimpse of relationships in the juxtapositions between great painting and local works, one can at least draw comparisons. From this idea comes the path that -starting from the great painting - enables us to approch our painters in order to recover their influences and originality with a dive into the rediscovery of vintage.

Dado Belgrado, Giuseppe Ferfoglia (named “Pino”), Tranquillo Marangoni, Gregorio Mariani, Guido Maussigh, Ossi Czinner, Giovanni Saccomanni, Giuliano Sebastianutto, Lojze Spacal (named “Luigi”), Alberto Vianelli form the overwhelming wave that drags as many small masterpieces by painters who will know how to touch our hearts, among them: Bassi, Bidoli, Bregant, Chineses, Colonnello, De Finetti, Depretis, Elia, Ferfoglia, Furlani, Ghezzo, Lapo,Manetti, Milani, Moresan, Orlandi, Perusino, Pirusel, Pizianti, Sabo, Sbisà, Schmidt, Tavagnacco, Valentinuzzi, Vianelli.

Each master will be represented with one- exceptionally two - of his works in order to capture correspondences and continuity with modern or contemporary artistic currents. We would like to thank the collectors who kindly lent their works, enabling the proponents to outline, following a long and articulated study, an exhibition-artistic itinerary that has never been attempted before.
