Border Avant-gardes: Great aristic currents and regional painters

The great artistic movements of the world have also had a personal resonance with painters from our region, who have been inspired by them or influenced them with some particularly brilliant works. 

While it is not always possible to accurately discern the relationships in the juxtapositions between great paintings and local works, parallels can at least be drawn.

This idea has given rise to a journey that, starting from great paintings, allows us to approach our painters in order to recover their influences and originality with a plunge into the rediscovery of vintage art.

Dado Belgrado, Giuseppe Ferfoglia (known as ‘Pino’), Tranquillo Marangoni, Gregorio Mariani, Guido Maussigh, Ossi Czinner, Giovanni Saccomanni, Giuliano Sebastianutto, Lojze Spacal (known as ‘Luigi’), Alberto Vianelli form the overwhelming wave that carries along many small masterpieces by painters who will touch our hearts, among them: Bassi, Bidoli, Bregant, Colonnello, De Finetti, Depretis, Elia, Ferfoglia, Furlani, Ghezzo, Lapo, Manetti, Milani, Moresan, Orlandi, Perusino, Pirusel, Pizianti, Sbisà, Schmidt, Tavagnacco, Valentinuzzi, Vianelli.

Each master will be represented by one of his works, exceptionally two, to allow the viewer to recognise correspondences and continuities with modern or contemporary artistic movements.

We would like to thank the collectors who have kindly loaned their works, allowing the organisers to outline, following a long and detailed study, an exhibition-artistic itinerary never attempted before.
