Description of the event The permanent exhibition “Contemporary Horizons: Art Without Borders” brings international contemporary art to the heart of Staranzano, transforming the Town Hall into a lively and dynamic exhibition space. The initiative aims to create a cultural bridge between artists of different nationalities, encouraging dialogue between different artistic expressions and the local community.

The exhibition will present works by established artists, ranging from painting, sculpture, installations and digital art. The project is part of GO! 2025 - European Capital of Culture, enhancing the role of Staranzano as a meeting point between cultures and artistic innovation.

The exhibition will be enriched by collateral events, including meetings with artists, workshops and guided tours, making art accessible to all and stimulating active public participation.

The “Contemporary Horizons: Art Without Borders” project was born as part of the twinning between the Municipality of Staranzano and the Local Community of Renče, strengthening the cultural bond between Italy and Slovenia.

This collaboration represents a concrete example of cross-border dialogue, in line with the spirit of GO! 2025 - European Capital of Culture, which celebrates the union between Nova Gorica and Gorizia as a city without borders. Through contemporary art, the permanent exhibition hosted at the Staranzano Town Hall becomes a symbol of cooperation and cultural exchange.

The exhibition brings together Italian, Slovenian and international artists, promoting a common artistic language that overcomes geographical and linguistic barriers.

This initiative aims not only to enhance the territory and its cultural heritage, but also to offer the community a meeting point between creativity and innovation, strengthening the sense of belonging to a European region united by culture and art.
