Earth Day, SLE-GO2025

The Giornata della Terra in FVG (GMT- FVG) event is now in its 14th year. bringing together a community of students, teachers, researchers, volunteers and citizens committed to the realisation and/or fruition of over 70 laboratory and interactive exhibition stands throughout the region, focussing on the care of the Planet in its various spheres (Biosphere, Hydrosphere, Atmosphere, Pedosphere, Environmental and climatic emergencies...). 

Earth Day - 15 April 2025 is the first event planned by the SLE-GO 2025 International Science Learning Expedition Project, supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region as part of the events for the dissemination of scientific culture - Notice 2025.

The 2025 theme for this worldwide initiative is OUR PLANET OUR POWER. The scientific contributions of the most significant regional organisations will be supported by input from start-ups and GREEN experiences at a regional level on energy issues.

The celebration of EARTH DAY 2025 will be held on 15 April 2025 in the Piazza Transalpina area of Gorizia-Nova Gorica.

In Piazza Transalpina and in the access roads - pedestrian areas, 70 stands will be set up for the participants to enjoy over 300 interactive workshops in organised themed pathways.

8.45 - 9.00 am registration of participants

9.30 a.m. start of the workshops, each class/group will follow different activities in a predefined order.

12.00 a.m. creation of a LAND ART with all the participating students, live streaming from the field Performance by the Locchi Middle School Choir.

1.00 p.m. lunch

4.00 p.m. The GLOBE ITALIA APS Association is the leader of this project with project partners UNIUD-Di4A - University of Udine, Department of Agro-Food, Environmental and Animal Sciences, CREA-GOCouncil for Agricultural Research and Economics - Gorizia section.
