Trieste Film Festival 2025

The 36th edition of the Trieste Film Festival will be held from 16 to 24 January 2025. Once again this year the Trieste Film Festival presents itself with a rich programme of films from Central and Eastern Europe screened in various locations. In addition to the films, there will also be a series of workshops, exhibitions, walks, etc. 

Various sections:

LUNGOMETRAGGI CONCORSO: A selection of fiction feature films chosen from works produced in the last two years compete for the Trieste Prize. All Italian premieres.

DOCUMENTARY FILM COMPETITION: A competition dedicated to documentaries of international and Italian production, competing for the Alpe Adria Cinema Award. All Italian premieres.

SHORT FILMCOMPETITION: A selection of the best short films from the geographical area covered by the festival, with particular attention to Cinema Schools, competing for the Best Short Film Award offered by the Osiride Brovedani Foundation.

SPECIAL EVENTS: Great previews in the presence of the authors.

OUT OF COMPETITION PROJECTIONS: Preview screenings from our areas of interest.

PREMIO CORSO SALANI: The initiative intends to give an opportunity for visibility and promotion to independent Italian feature films, both fiction and documentaries, which are seeking an Italian and/or international distribution and have not yet been distributed in Italian cinemas. The best film in this section will be awarded the Corso Salani Prize.

TSFF DEI PICCOLI: A real ‘festival within a festival’ dedicated to families and children: screenings of auteur short and feature films, workshops and surprises!
