HIŠA MARINIČ

The love of the land, the responsibility for the ancestral heritage and the steely tenacity of the Brda spirit have marked the life of our family. Hiša Marinič is a fruit farm in the village of Biljana. The village is situated on one of the hills in the very heart of the Goriška Brda region. In the typical Brda style of farming, the famous "Brda" cherries, figs, khakis, plums and apricots are grown. Through dedicated work and knowledge passed down from generation to generation, they farm in a nature-friendly way, achieving a deep connection and involvement in the circle of nature. They follow the example of their grandfathers in distilling and their grandmothers in making delicious jams. In Brda, the tradition of brandy-making goes back a long way. As was typical in the past, herbs, fruit and honey are used to enrich distillates, both brandies and liqueurs.
