La Gubana della Nonna
Time seems to have stopped in Azzida, on the slopes of Matajur, where the Gubana della Nonna artisan workshop has been based since 1999.

The proposed products are created from the desire to keep the ancient traditions of the Natisone Valleys alive.

This is done through accurate research and consulting the women who made gubane and strucchi at home, with the intention not only to grasp the essence of these typical cakes of the region but also write down recipes once only held in popular memory.

The rest of the production is also based on recipes acquired with this research or on lucky finds.

Among the many other specialities: Apple Cake, Barozzi Cake, Banana Plum Cake, Walnut and Raisin Apple Tart and Salted Plum Cake.
