Mmm Beatrice, little spells of culinary magic

Mmm Beatrice is a family-run brand of small culinary specialities from the Karst region. Vojka and Jurij prepare 29 extra homemade jams, 2 chutneys and a tomato sauce from the best, mainly local ingredients, without preservatives, colour or flavour enhancers, gelling sugar. Very few or no sweeteners. We cook them for up to 26 hours, by hand, in boutique quantities, slowly and with lots of love.

Mmm Beatrice jams exceed the European standard criteria for the best quality jams by up to 6 times in terms of fruit content. They are excellent not only on bread and pancakes, but also with meat, cheese, vegetables and other dishes.

Some jams are made with just one type of fruit (plums, apricots, figs, oranges, tangerines), others with several types of fruit and also with vegetables (rhubarb, pumpkin, carrots, beetroot). Spices (saffron, turmeric, ginger, nutmeg, marjoram, cinnamon, cloves) or other additives (e.g. lavender, chocolate, rum, terrine) are added to some.

The small culinary copies of Mmm Beatrice have also found their way into prestigious outlets abroad, have often been protocol gifts from the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and can be found on the gourmet plates of prestigious restaurants. They are also corporate gifts from companies that appreciate boutique quality. In 2020, Mmm Beatrice won a silver award in the competition for the selection of culinary and gastronomic souvenirs of Mediterranean Slovenia, organised by the Tourist Board of Slovenia.
