Venue: The round tower of Rihemberk Castle, Branik.
The project lies at the intersection of sound ecology and bioacoustic music. In sound ecology, we encounter an auditory environment that is almost imperceptible to humans, as it is seldom seen or heard; in the realm of music, we compose bioacoustic music using sounds in frequencies that are mostly inaudible to us. The composition includes night sounds audible to humans, which are complemented by the sounds of bats in the ultrasonic spectrum. These are appropriately processed and shifted into a frequency range perceptible to humans. The resulting soundscape is a fusion of sounds of the interior of the castle, the distant surrounding forest, and the outer plateau surrounding the castle.
