Blu Cobalto. Art as an educational tool for a new narrative on ‘conflict minerals’

Blu Cobalto. Art as an educational tool for a new narrative on ‘conflict minerals’

A creative workshop for boys and girls aged 10 and up, with a maximum of 40 participants.

In an open and interactive dialogue with Congolese artist Hugo Kanyingu Kabeya, and with the collaboration of Comfort Zone's art therapists and educators, the theme of ‘conflict minerals’ will be explored starting with creative practices of bodily experimentation and pictorial abstraction, incorporating cobalt blue pigments in a final practical return.

The young men and women participants will be guided by artist-in-residence Hugo Kanyingu Kabeya in a path of knowledge and experimentation on the potential of art as an educational and therapeutic tool to reinterpret urgent current issues, connecting apparently distant but deeply interconnected geographical and cultural realities.

The activity is free of charge and open to all, reservation required: iscrizioni@iodeposito.org

The project is financed by the European Union through the GO! 2025 Small Project Fund of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Programme, managed by the EGTC GO.
