Film Evening: Moja meja
Screening of the Moja meja documentary.
01/02/2025
You are warmly invited to the screening of the documentary entitled Moja meja (My Border, 2002, production: Kinoatelje) by Anja Medved and Nadja Velušček on 1 February 2025 at 19:00 at the Osek Community Centre.
The documentary explores the history of Nova Gorica and Gorizia. It is dedicated to the young generations who never saw the border as an obstacle, but rather as an objective, natural reality, like Soča River, which runs along it, and also to the generation that experienced the border when it was still called the Iron Curtain. The authors Nadja Velušček and Anja Medved will also attend the event – a discussion will follow the screening.
Active since 2024, the Soča - Isonzo Travelling Cinema organises annual cinemas in picturesque locations along the Slovene-Italian border, in cooperation with key partners from the region. Just before summer, Kinoatelje organises film screenings under the blue sky, as well as in multi-purpose halls of small villages, providing a cinematic experience in remote places. In the year of the European Capital of Culture 2025, new locations will be launched within the framework of the Soča - Isonzo Travelling Cinema, with the aim of spreading film culture to smaller towns and remote areas, where there is often no adequate infrastructure for quality film screenings. Cinephiles and culture lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy film screenings in picturesque locations along the Soča River, either under the mild skies or in the interiors of multi-purpose halls, such as the one in Osek.
The screening is part of GO! 2025 official programme.
