Revoltella museum, elegant city residence, in Renaissance style, belonging to Baron Pasquale Revoltella, it hosts sculptures and works of modern painting.The interior of the Revoltella museum, is characterised by a spectacular helicoidal staircase that connects the three floors, preserves the original furniture and decorations, as well as a large art collection (Magni marble groups, historical scenes, landscapes and portraits dating back to early 19th century).
In this century, the museum Revoltella has found its location in the nearby Brunner building, which nowadays hosts one of the most important collections of modern art in Italy (with works by Hayez, Fattori, De Nittis, Morelli, Palazzi, Nono, Favretto, Bistolfi, Previati, von Stuck, Morandi, Fontana, etc.).

Muzej Revoltella v Trstu, elegantna mestna rezidenca v renesančnem slogu, je bila zgrajena med letoma 1854 in 1858 po načrtih berlinskega arhitekta F. Hitzig, Schinklov učenec, po naročilu barona Pasquala Revoltelle, ki jo je po smrti (1869) spremenil v muzej in jo zapustil mestu.
V notranjosti stavbe, za katero je značilno dramatično helikoidno stopnišče, ki povezuje tri nadstropja, je ohranjena prvotna oprema in dekoracija (intarzirana tla, poslikani stropi, štukaturne obloge) ter vidna umetniška zbirka (marmorne skupine Magni, zgodovinski prizori, krajine in portreti iz prve polovice 19. stoletja).
V zadnjih letih se je v sosednji palači Brunner razvil muzej Revoltella, ki danes hrani eno najpomembnejših zbirk moderne umetnosti v Italiji (dela Hayeza, Fattorija, De Nittisa, Morellija, Palazzija, Nona, Favretta, Bistolfija, Previatija, von Stucka, Morandija, Fontane ...).
