Osteria Mulin Vecio

Osteria Mulin Vecio is located just outside the walls of Gradisca d'Isonzo. It is certainly one of the oldest and most historic taverns in Friuli Venezia Giulia, family-run.

Mulin Vecio is one of the most fascinating, beautiful and true taverns in Friuli. Created in the spacious interior of a mill. As soon as you enter the Osteria, the warm and welcoming atmosphere will make you feel like you have gone back in time. Come and taste the authentic local cold cuts, hand sliced, and our typical regional hot dishes like the traditional pasta soup and beans and in winter you will also find the Jota (delicious soup made with beans and sauerkraut).

Only on Friday you can delight with cod 'Vicentina'. Every Sunday we will serve the pork knuckel with oven baked potatoes while on Tuesday we serve our famous tripe parmesan. 

Don’t forget to check out some of our classics like sausages with sauerkraut and when the frost bites, you can refresh yourself with Cotechino (a type of large boiled pork sausage) with Brovada (macerate of turnips in the marc) produced by a local farmer.

Our menu includes goulash with polenta and gnocchi with goulash, plum gnocchi and frico with polenta. To complement your meal you will find a selection of local wines and local grappa or biters.
