From May 20 to May 26, the èStoria festival is taking place in Gorizia.

In Gorizia this week it is time for èStoria: the festival, now in its twentieth edition, this year features dates as its theme. Each edition of Italy's largest history festival aims to span time, from the ancient to the modern era, on topics of great relevance with a multidisciplinary approach. The Festival consists of an ever-increasing number of appointments to bring together the most authoritative voices animating international historical and cultural research and debate. During the days of the Festival, debates, book presentations, performances, exhibitions, screenings and testimonies will take place.
The opening of the festival will be held on Friday 24 May from 5.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Giuseppe Verdi Theatre.
Film lovers will also be catered for, as in conjunction with the festival it will also be possible to attend screenings of the èStoria Film Festival, the history-themed film festival organised by the èStoria Cultural Association.
