Open Laboratory: Meeting of Participants of all Workshops

All participants of thematic workshops on mushroom cultivation, fermentation, brewing, and home pharmacy are warmly invited to the Laboratory for the Future of Food to discuss the programme of 2025, when Bio/n will be bustling with activity.

One of the upcoming events is a themed dinner at the initiative of the Italian trade agency ICE in Slovenia. This cross-border event will be led by the renowned chef Uroš Fakuč from the Michelin-starred DAM restaurant, and Fakuč will use ingredients from our lab for dinner. At Thursday's meeting, we would like to discuss ways for our colorful community to participate in this and similar events, reaching a broader audience. We will also talk about the Open Laboratory, available to communities for creative experimentation in areas that are interesting for the future of food. We would like to know your suggestions for additional laboratory equipment (which will feature a specially made lyophilizer for this occasion) and ideas for a programme of activities that would particularly motivate you to use the laboratory individually.

The organiser, Kersnikova Institute, is looking forward to meeting you and new exciting opportunities in a historic year for both Gorizia!
