The March Radio Session will be available on The Other Radio from 2 March.

The Other Radio is an internet radio platform, artistic and curatorial project of Robida Collective, dedicated to exploring the conceptual and physical spaces of the margins, as well as the conceptual networks, content, and stories that shape and permeate these marginal spaces. You can listen to the radio broadcast of The Other Radio from 2 March by clicking on the "play" icon in the upper right corner on this website.

The following broadcasts will be featured on Radio Drugega/The Other Radio in the first March episode:

  1. Mejenje/Bordering by Aljaž Škrlep: "In the Bordering radio show, I try to observe the Italian-Slovenian border through various philosophical and theoretical lenses. I travel through different times and places, where the issue of the border posed either an obvious or a hidden, but still effective problem. I question about the seductive charms of the border and the practices of crossing on one hand and boundlessness on the other. The episodes focus on past, present, or future ontologies and epistemologies of the border or borderlands. I focus on the phenomenological dimension of life on the border, border crossing, and something I would like to call being the border, being the crossroads. In this episode, titled On the Illegal Traveler, I spoke with Iranian social anthropologist Shahram Khosravi." The show is in Slovene, with parts of the conversation in English.
  2. Branching In, Branching Out/Razvejanje by Vida Rucli: "The show wants to explore collective learning, situated pedagogies and embodied knowledge practices as ways of propagating new realities. The title comes from an interpretation of the etymology of the verb to educate—latin educere, to draw out, take out but also branch out. Branching in, branching out is a double movement of reaching and encountering what is afar, being inspired and open to different discourses, but at the same time going into what we have an affection to, rooting ourself, being activated and moved by what stays in our proximity, leaning on the landscape and learning from it. In this episode, I will talk to Rosario Talevi, a Berlin-based architect, editor, curator and educator with a special interest in critical spatial practices and transformative pedagogies." The show is in English.
  3. When Thinking Is Doing by Antônio Frederico Lasalvia: "In the third season of When Thinking is Doing, we will indulge in bordering thought. In each episode, Antônio Frederico Lasalvia conceptualizes craft and its neighboring areas by creating clear categories around them—often only to find out that these limits are porous and trespassers negotiate their confines just as we are not looking. Through the perspectives of different guests engaged with hand and head work, we will try to better understand not only the complexities of making, but of the making of the world. In this episode, I will discuss and reflect on the work of Brazilian artist Gustavo Ciríaco and the Portuguese architectural office FAHR 021.3." The show is in English.
  4. Materiali minevanja (materials of passing) by Ajda Bračič: "This radio show is part of a five-part series created during a residency in Topolove in March 2024. The series deals with four phenomena we share space with that are symptomatic of the passage of time: dust, ash, mold, and patina. Based on prior readings and reflections, the series examines these materialities through the lenses of their structural composition, temporal dependence, excessive significance, and the idea of their collectivity. This is the second episode in the series, which deals with dust." The show is in Slovene.
  5. Bewilderment Archive by Olya Korsun: "My take on borders is carnival. Carnival as the territory of constant crossing of social, political, sexual, and interspecies borders. I have also heard that carnival is an important event here, in the Slovenian villages on the far north of Italy, where I recorded this show. Therefore, I hope that in this programme, thoughts and writings from various authors about the carnival tradition will meet with the actual carnival practice of people living in rural areas who still welcome carnival to the streets of their villages and towns and into their lives. In today’s episode, I want to look into the so-called two-world state. To immerse us in it a bit. What is it? Which two worlds am I talking about? Listen to the show and find out.”"The show is in English.
