Pordenonelegge: book festival

The Pordenonelegge book festival will be held in Pordenone from September 18 to 22.

Pordenonelegge is a book festival that will take place from September 18 to 22 in 13 different towns and 43 festival venues, with Piazza XX Settembre in Pordenone as its main venue. More than 600 authors and 300 events will be presented over the course of five days.

Held in September in the picturesque north-eastern city of Pordenone, sixty kilometres from Venice, Pordenonelegge is one of the oldest, longest and most prestigious book festivals in Italy. Started in 2000, the festival has an established reputation as a cultural event of reference inside and outside the country, welcoming over 100,000 book lovers every year. Over the years, many important names of Italian and world literature have visited the festival, resulting in Pordenone being known as ‘a small book capital’.
