A humorous tale of hope, love, and rebellion, to see Idrija and its miner's houses with fresh eyes.

Visit the Idrija miner's house and taste the dishes that have characterized the city's unique cuisine.

You can also attend the theatrical performance based on the original screenplay by Aleš Čar (directed by Ana Kržišnik Blažica). The performance takes us back to Idrija in 1922, four years after the end of the Great War, at the Giser house. This is one of the few magnificent miner's houses still standing, which will open its doors and reveal a story shared by many families in Idrija. We'll join the Črvovi family, the mine overseer Peter, his wife Marjanca, and their daughter Klara, rebellious and independent. They're celebrating their silver wedding anniversary, but with an unexpected twist.
