The traveling Cinema Isonzo – Kino Soča

A long summer dedicated to cinema is about to begin, with open-air film events presented by Kinoatelje in collaboration with several partners from the cross-border area.

The Kino Soča – Isonzo Cinema is a network of cultural venues spanning both sides of the border, aiming to offer greater and more equitable access to quality cinema in the cross-border area between Slovenia and Italy. Cinema is making its way throughout the territory, from the source to the mouth of the Soča River, with the goal of spreading its culture even in places outside urban centers, where there are still no adequate infrastructures for professional quality film screenings. Each event evokes a unique connection between the environment and the images, as one never steps into the same film river twice.

The itinerant Cinema Isonzo – Kino Soča is part of the Go Green Cinema project, targeting a wider cross-border audience, local residents, occasional foreign visitors, and participants in the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025 programmes. The project is supported by the European Union under the GO! 2025 Small Project Fund of the Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 Programme, managed by the EGTC GO.

All events will be free and designed for both Italian and Slovenian audiences.
