As part of the official programme, we are organising a festive weekend full of concerts and other events. On Sunday, Christmas lights will be switched on.

The festive weekend will be opened on Friday 29 November 2024 at 19:00 by the popular Slovenian singer Tinkara Kovač and her band, who is celebrating 20 years of the O-range album. The musical evening combining art and festive celebrations will be the perfect introduction to the magical period leading up to the grand opening of the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia. After the concert, DJ Riki will provide extra energy.
Tinkara Kovač has been active on the Slovenian music scene for 27 years, since she released her first single Veter z juga in 1997. Since then, she has performed on Slovenian and international stages and released 13 albums. In January 2013, she founded her own record label T-Key Music, has won numerous awards for her work and represented Slovenia at Eurovision in 2016. She is also a songwriter, flutist, professor, as well as a literary and theatre artist. DJ Riki has been working as a DJ for more than 30 years. He works in all venues in Goriška region, but he is mainly known for his rock rhythms, which always impress the crowds.

On Saturday, 30 November 2024, at 19:00, we will enjoy the jazz rhythms of the North East Ska Jazz Orchestra. They will be joined on stage later by the RootsInSession duo.
The 16-member Italian jazz group NESJO first appeared on the music scene in 2012. It brings together professional musicians from the northeastern Italy who create Jamaican and African-American rhythms. This year they released their fourth album and regularly perform at concerts, tours and festivals all over Europe. RootsInSession has been active on the Slovenian scene for more than 20 years, since 2001. Its selectors, producers and DJs Pier and Fu have used their musical knowledge and charismatic performances to break onto many important club and festival stages in Slovenia and abroad.

On Sunday, 1 December 2024, we will finish the festive weekend with the illumination of the festive lights with a concert by Bepop. At 19:00, the evening will reach its peak with a performance by the world-renowned group Perpetuum Jazzile, and at the end of the evening we will enjoy the rhythms of DJ Bozho.
The pop music group Bepop has been on the Slovenian music scene since 2002. With hits such as Moje sonce and Odpelji me, they conquered the Slovenian music scene at the beginning of the millennium, have performed two nationwide tours and released four albums. In August 2005, they disbanded, reunited in 2017, and since 2019 the girls have returned to the scene under the name Bepop Ladies. Perpetuum Jazzile is a Slovenian a cappella choir performing pop and jazz. The choir has been active since 1983, has more than 40 members and has already made its way to the world's most important stages with its dedication and cohesiveness. We will close the evening with the thumping rhythms of DJ Bozho.
