In the coming days, Navadna hruška, Kaj ti je deklica and Zgodbe iz čarobnega gozda will premiere.
Three Slovene films, which will also mark this year's European Capital of Culture, will have their world premieres at major film festivals in the coming days: Gregor Božič's short film Navadna Hruška (Ordinary Pear) will be screened in the short film competition programme of the Rotterdam International Film Festival, Urška Djukić's feature debut Kaj ti je deklica (What's Wrong, Girl) will be the opening film of the new Perspectives competition section at the prestigious Berlin Film Festival (Urška studied at the Academy of Arts at the University of Nova Gorica), The third film is the much-anticipated animated feature Zgodbe iz čarobnega gozda (Tales from the Magic Forest), a co-production of four countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, France and Slovenia), directed by four animators, including Leon Vidmar (who lives in Posočje), and will be screened in the Generation Kplus competition, also in Berlin.
Navadna hruška and Kaj ti je deklica were produced with the support of GO! 2025, filmed in GO! 2025 locations and will be screened as part of the ECoC Premiere programme, while Zgodbe iz čarobnega gozda is part of the official programme project, Animation Laboratory.
