First international presentation of the official programme of European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia.
After officially accepting the title from former ECoC in Bad Ischl, the first international presentation of the official programme of the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia took place in Brussels on 26 November 2024. The programme was presented by:
- Mija Lorbek, Director of GO! 2025,
- Stojan Pelko, Programme Director of GO! 2025,
- Neda Rusjan Bric, Artistic Advisor and Director of the opening ceremony.
During the event, we also presented the GO! & Friends supporting programme, which highlights the rich creativity of the region and complements the official programme. This programme was presented by Romina Kocina, Director of EGTC GO, who emphasized the importance of cross-border cooperation in the creation and realisation of this unique cultural year.
The ECoC 2025 opening ceremony will take place on 8 February 2025, the Slovenian Day of Culture. The cities of Nova Gorica and Gorizia will host an all-day parade connecting the two cities.
