Opening of the exhibition and round table discussion on the Slovenian academic Andrej Gosar, founder of the welfare state in Slovenia.

The exhibition in Slovenian, German and English presents in detail the distinguished university professor Andrej Gosar (Logatec, 1887–Ljubljana, 1970), who was also the minister for social policy in Belgrade during the two world wars, experienced the Dachau concentration camp during the II. world war and after the II WW also political pressures and was enforced to the social anonymity. The authors of the exhibition, which was made possible by the Municipality of Logatec, are Bibijana Mihevc, Štefan Skledar and dr. Ariana Volarić.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday, October 16, at 7 p.m. There will also be a round table about this famous Slovenian Catholic thinker, sociologist and publicist. The introduction to the conversation will be given by journalist Ivo Jevnikar, who will also connect the presentations of the participants at the round table. Better understanding of Mr. Gosar and his functioning at home and abroad will be presented by Mr. Štefan Skledar. About Gosar's religious and social thought, will speak philosopher and theologian dr. Janez Juhant. About Gosar's contacts with the "Catolic center in Gorica" will speak university professor, researcher and publicist dr. Mira Cencič.
