Transcending Borders – Connecting – Growing Together

On 8 February, Nova Gorica will host a youth dialogue on EU policies with European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.

On 8 February, Nova Gorica will host a youth dialogue on EU policies entiteld "Transcending Borders – Connecting – Growing Together", hosted by Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Enlargement, together with Executive Vice-President Raffaele Fitto (responsible for Cohesion Policy) and Glenn Micalleff, Commissioner for Culture, Youth, Sport and Intergenerational Justice. They will discuss key issues and share their vision for a united Europe.

The dialogue will take place at the Nova Gorica Grammar School and will unite 39 young people aged between 18 and 30 from all EU countries, candidate countries and the EU neighbourhood. In addition to thematic panels (thematic workshops) on mobility, education and work, cohesion and regional cooperation, peace and reconciliation, the young people will also experience the Walk of Peace and attend the opening ceremony of the ECoC. Youth dialogues on EU policies are one of the main initiatives of the new Commission President. All 27 European Commissioners will meet regularly with young people to discuss topical issues in their field of work, and to formulate positions and recommendations.
