Jacovitttti come non lo avete mai visto!
Benito Jacovitti will be the protagonist of the next big exhibition at PAFF! in Pordenone. An itinerary that studies the characteristics of the style, the peculiarities of linguistic and page construction that distinguish Benito Jacovitti.
In the exhibition we will see Jac's famous fillers: salami, worms, butterflies, dice and all the objects Jacovitti used to draw to fill in the empty spaces and catch his breath before telling his story. We will understand how he used to move characters through dynamic lines in a cartoon and how he played his world through onomatopoeias, those written sounds that in Italian comics are usually taken from Englishisms and that in Jacovitti become pùgno, schiàffo, patapùnfete worthy of a great noisemaker artist.
The exhibition also presents an absolute unreleased: ‘Black Jac’, one of the last panoramas made two years before his death.
The exhibition will be open during museum opening hours:
Tuesday to Friday 15.00-19.00
Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
