Last Thursday, on 24 October 2024, Knjigarna kavarna Maks hosted a press conference on the Borderless-Golden Ale project.
The press conference at 14:00 featured a presentation of the Borderless-Golden Ale partnership project, developed by two brewers from both sides of the border, Reservoir Dogs (from Nova Gorica, Slovenia) and Antica Contea (from Gorizia, Italy) in cooperation with ECoC. Golden Ale is an addition to the Borderless Beer project, a four-year long cooperation between these two brewers.
The first Borderless beer with a hint of roses was developed as a gift to the ECoC 2025 candidature during the COVID-19 epidemics in hopes to celebrate Nova Gorica’s victory with a special drink. This dream came true when the results for the ECoC 2025 were announced, as we celebrated the victory drinking this very beer in Europe Square. A new chapter of this cross-border collaboration was written with a summer Borderless Beer event, serving beer on the very border in Europe Square.
The brewers have prepared a new addition of the beer for the year 2025, this time a Golden Ale, that was first presented this Thursday. The representatives of the two brewers discussed the meaning of collaboration, creativity and art in small business. They were joined by Tom Mezga, who designed the Borderless-Golden Ale etiquette, and academic painter Klemen Brun, the author of Reservoir Dogs etiquette.
