The presentation of the book 'Capire il confine. Gorizia e Nova Gorica: lo sguardo di un'antropologa indaga la frontiera' (Understanding the Border. Gorizia and Nova Gorica: an anthropologist's perspective investigates the frontier), by Giustina Selvelli (Bottega Errante Edizioni, 2024) will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, May 21st at 6pm, in the reading room of Libreria Minerva in Trieste.
What does it mean to live on the border? An anthropologist intertwines her personal biography with the history of a border, its inhabitants, and the policies that have shaped it. 'Capire il confine' is a tool for scholars, curious individuals, and tourists, enriched with in-depth chapters, maps, and chronologies to navigate the complexity of the cross-border region.
The event will be moderated by Marco Marinuzzi. In collaboration with Bottega Errante Edizioni and Trieste Film Festival – Alpe Adria Cinema.
