Basaglia Beyond Walls

In collaboration with GO! 2025, the Italian Institute for Culture presents an evening dedicated to Franco Basaglia.

The evening dedicated to Franco Basaglia will take place at the City Museum of Ljubljana, from 18:00 onwards. The evening will begin with institutional greetings, followed by the screening of Trieste racconta Basaglia film (Trieste Meets Basaglia), presented by director Erika Rossi. The evening will conclude with a round table featuring the following participants: 

  • Alessandra Orietti, Director of the Mental Health Centre in Trieste,
  • Mario Colucci, psychiatrist and co-author of two books on Franco Basaglia,
  • Angela Pianca, Basaglia's colleague and director of the Academy of Madness in Trieste,
  • Vito Flaker, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Social Work.

The round table will be moderated by Andreja Rafaelič, researcher at the Institute of Social Work of the Republic of Slovenia. The event is scheduled to end at 21.00.

The event will be held in Italian and Slovenian with simultaneous translation.
