The BulevAR app encourages users to discover the conurbation, and offers rewards for creating connections among people and strengthening cross-border cooperation.
As part of GO! 2025, local high-tech company Arctur has developed BulevAR, an interactive app for residents and visitors of Nova Gorica and Gorizia, an innovative tool for connecting GO! 2025 cultural programme, venues in both cities and local providers. In a unique way, it enables visitors to experience the rich history, outstanding individuals and achievements of creativity and vision that have shaped Nova Gorica and Gorizia.
When discovering local sights and events sparks friendship
The BulevAR app allows users to collect sparkles or virtual points, earned by visiting the main ECoC venues or by participating in selected events and challenges. Users can redeem the collected sparkles for prizes offered by providers on both sides of the border. The app rewards loyal GO! 2025 visitors and encourages them to cross the border—with rewards that lead them across the border to new environments in our shared conurbation.
Visitors can earn sparkles by visiting locations, e.g. well-known landmarks on both sides of the border, such as Europe Square, Rafut Park, Gorizia Castle, Coronini Cronberg Palace and others. In addition to visiting sights, users can collect sparkles also by participating in selected events of the GO! 2025 official programme and completing challenges that encourage them to take photos with friends or acquaintances at landmark locations, wave to the cities beneath them, stand in two countries at the same time, etc.
BulevAR promotes local suppliers
The app not only helps to get to know Gorizias, but also allows local businesses to showcase their services to visitors of GO! 2025 and invite them to their premises. It provides caterers, retailers, hairdressers, florists, beauticians, opticians and others the opportunity to present their businesses to the cross-border public and encourage new, borderless habits. Even before the launch of the app, more than 30 providers are already offering rewards; new providers can join at any time in 2025 by submitting an application form at join.bulevar.eu.
